Two Brothers - Two Guitars - Two Stories

The Carrillo Brothers enjoyed playing music as kids, but received the standard "don't quit your day job".  Years later after traveling through the world and the world of relationships, they reunited in Nashville to bring together their unique blend of complex melodies, harmonies and story telling.  It could be easy to lump them into a specific music genre after listening to one song, but that quickly changes as you move through their playlist.  Give them a listen!

Growing up, music was omnipresent.  My musical tastes are all over the map, but the biggest influences were America, KISS, the BareNakedLadies, and St. Motel.  However, when playing and writing, I always tend to come back to melodic acoustic guitars and vocal harmonies. After a few international careers and raising 4 children, I am finally getting the opportunity to focus on the music.

I knew I wanted to play the guitar after seeing the Beatles play on Ed Sullivan as a kid.  As a teen, I started writing my own songs and that became a big part of my self-expression.  I've been in several bands, but for the past 30 years, I was the founding member of Winterhawk.  Musically, Americana is my bread and butter. And, P.S., my hair is grey because my kid.
